Testimonials
Thanks to Miya Kim at Worknplay I am in Korea, eager to begin teaching English at an elementary school! Miya¡¯s superior communication skills, energy, hardworking nature and kindness were evident in every email and telephone conversation I had with her as she so efficiently secured a teaching position for me.
While it is true that her experience often enabled her to anticipate my questions before I asked, it is her confidence as a recruiter that most impressed me. In the initial email I had from her, after a query I had about being able to find a job, she wrote, ¡°There are many schools who would love to have you. I¡¯ll find you a job!¡± A few days later, a list of schools was presented to me, and shortly after that I received a telephone call from a school whose offer I accepted that evening. Miya immediately provided me with a detailed list of steps to complete and documents to prepare. She checked often to see how I was coming along and patiently and with humour encouraged me through the process.

It is obvious to me that Miya enjoys her job very much and is sensitive to, and knowledgeable about, the cultural environments she must necessarily bridge. I would recommend Miya without hesitation to any potential English teacher. Thank you so much, Miya!

WorknPlay was very helpful in my process from beginning to end. My contact with them was Julie and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She answers all of my concerns, this reassuring since the advice and information provided by her help me to settle and adjust to being in Korea. Currently, I'm having a terrific time

in my current position and looking forward to begin this new journey.

I used the services of WorknPlay to secure my  current position in Korea , teaching English at an elementary school, and I would highly recommend them to potential applicants.  My main  contact, Julie Lim,  was  professional, helpful, and  always on hand  to answer questions.  She kept me well informed at all stages
of the recruitment process, from the initial interview to my arrival in Korea , and provided frequent updates on the progress of my application. I found the regular contact reassuring and the advice and information that I received about my employer was accurate and useful. I am now having a fantastic time teaching in Gyeonggi-do and I look forward to the year ahead.

I found Worknplay to be an excellent agency. Julie from WorknPlay was extremely helpful and informative right from the beginning of the process until the end. She was always very friendly and quick to answer any questions I had. She showed far more dedication than other agencies I encountered and

I would happily recommend them to anyone seeking employment as a teacher in Korea.

I started looking for work January 2009 with another recruitment agency, whom were unable to place me. In contacting WorknPlay and Julie in March 2009 the ball started rolling very fast.

I had options by the second email and had spoken to Julie within the day
of sending my phone number to her. Julie is very efficient, she kept me up to date on what jobs were available and interview times. I was able to gain a teaching position very easily without any amount of stress.

Julie called my driver at the airport to ask how my trip and welcome me to Korea. Just the little bit extra that you get from

Worknplay and Julie makes the difference, Worknplay and Julie are a great recruitment option for anyone who is looking for someone that gives you the time and all their effort into placing into work in Korea.

I greatly appreciate all the hard work and time that went into placing me into my public school job. THANKS JULIE and WORKNPLAY

Working with WorknPlay, and in particular with Julie, made a complicated, headache-inducing process much, much easier. Starting with when we submitted our applications, Julie was always quick to reply to all of our emails (she replied within hours to that first one!). She was
patient with our many questions and always knew exactly what direction to point us in. She was professional, encouraging, and thorough, and it was obvious that she genuinely cared about helping us obtain the jobs we were looking for. Even in those moments when I wasn't entirely sure where I was in the process and what came next, I felt confident that Julie did know and that she'd send me a friendly email prompting me to take the next step when it was time. How she kept all of my information--along with that of everyone else she was working with--straight, I do not know. When we finally arrived in Korea and met her and another WorknPlay representative at the airport, she was just as friendly and helpful, providing us with a much-appreciated welcome and bottle of water and directing us where to go from there. Now that we're here in Seoul, we still get emails from Julie letting us know about upcoming events and free tickets. That level of attention is really unusual and is what made me feel comfortable recommending WorknPlay to a friend who is currently applying to teach in Korea. I'd also feel 100% confident using them again myself.

When I first decided to start looking for teaching jobs in South Korea I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't sure how anything worked over on the other side of the world, and most recruiters I came accross seemed unreliable. I was a bit skeptical at first due to the relatively high amount of complaining by other former teachers on the internet.
Luckily my worries were dissolved when I met Julie from WorknPlay over the phone. She was very helpful in finding me schools for interviews , and she helped calm my nerves regarding the application process and explained very clearly all of the things I needed to do before I could begin my new life in South Korea. Julie acted as a great intermediary between me and a few schools until I finally found one that seemed to fit my lifestyle and personality. I am currently employed at a school in Seoul that I found with her help and absolutely love my job, my coworkers, my students, and most of all my new life in Korea. I will recommend Julie from WorknPlay to any of my friends who are interested in looking for teaching jobs in South Korea. Thanks for your time.

I heard many of the horror stories about working with recruiters in Korea. But I never had to worry about that while I was working with Julie and the rest of the WorknPlay staff. Any time that I had a question about the SMOE recruitment process or different documents that I needed for my visa, Julie was always ready to help me and she
passed along any information that I needed.

Don't be fooled; even if you've done your homework, the process of applying to teach in Korea is far from a simple task. But Julie Lim and the other employees at Work N Play are extremely helpful in making this complicated process as painless as possible. From supplying a detailed checklist of tasks to ensuring that
I was prepared for my interview, Work N Play definitely did everything they could to ease me through the process. And theirs were the first of many welcoming faces to greet me after I got off the plane. Even now that I have officially settled in to my new school, Work N Play is periodically in touch to see that I¡¯m doing alright. Work N Play was the recruiter recommended by a friend who came to Korea before me, and I¡¯m pleased to be able to second that recommendation now that I¡¯m here.

I am satisfied with the effort shown on behalf of Julie and the rest of the staff at worknplay. I have worled with other recruiters in the past who were not as helpful, concerned or informative as Julie. She always answered my phone calls and gave me a straight answer, and there were a lot of phone calls. Yes, there were some problems here and

there, but since it became so much more difficult to get an E-2 visa last year, complications are bound to arise. Overall I am satisfied with the work she has done and have already recommended her to many of my friends.
