The City of Daegu is located inland, in the southeastern part of the Korean Peninsula, 40.69 meters above sea level. Daegu has been recognized as a city with a high quality of education, producing "certified human resources" every year through its 24 colleges and universities in and around the city. The city government has found cooperative ways to facilitate partnerships between education and industry. Public libraries, increasing in number in recent years, have been used as spaces for social education in regional communities.

There are also many museums, galleries and theaters for residents to satisfy their cultural needs. The Daegu National Museum, Daegu Citizens' Hall, and Daegu Culture & Arts Center are among the most popular art spaces.
Sports facilities are also easily found in Daegu, with 25 public facilities and 1,844 private facilities operated throughout the city. The Samsung Lions, the city¡¯s baseball team, won the Korean Series in 2006.
The population of Daegu is diverse, and includes many non-Korean residents. Its military bases host several thousand Americans, and many South and Southeast Asian immigrants can be found in the west side of town. Students from around Asia have been drawn to Daegu to study at its universities.

- Salary: 1.8-2.85mil won

- Working Hours: 9am-5pm
- Teaching Hours: 22 hours per week
- 300,000 won Settlement pay upon teacher is arrival
- Round trip airfare : One way reimbursed upon teacher's arrival (1.3million KRW) and the other will
be paid (1.3million KRW) when you complete your contract.Even though you are in Korea, airfare will
be paid (1.3million KRW) when you start working.

- should be attached with an apostille or with verification issued by official Korean institutions such as the Korean Council for University Education (KCUE); applicants from a country that does not have an agreement with the Apostille Convention (such as Canada), should attach a notary from the Korean Consulate/Embassy in your country or verification issued by KCUE
- Original proof of enrollment must show completion of at least two academic years
- Three Original sealed transcripts
- 1 sealed transcript sent to woknplay. 2 sealed transcripts to take with you to the Korean Consulate/Embassy when you apply for the E2visa.
- Criminal record check with Apostille stamp
- Should be done on a local level or above and should be verified by an apostille
- Applicants from Canada or other countries that do not have an agreement with the Apostille Convention should submit a criminal record check notarized by the Korean Consulate/Embassy; however, Korean residents who have a criminal record check from one of the foreign diplomatic offices in Korea are exempt from the apostille verification process
- Verification should be issued by official institutions (of the applicant's government in his/her country or by foreign diplomatic offices in Korea) and must have been issued within 6 months at most before submitting all the required documents.

- (If applicable) Copies of certification (teacher certification, TESOL, etc)
- (If applicable) Proof of teaching/work experience
- Copy of citizenship or a copy of legal residence certificate(for Korean nationals)
- If English is not your first language (born in a non-English speaking country), then you must be able to provide proof of English education beginning from junior high school level.
